Character assassination of Colin Kaepernick by ESPN?

For some reason, ESPN used a photo of Colin Kaepernick in a backwards hat and regular clothes early Saturday morning while reporting on his "suspicious incident." Usually, a standard photo of him in a uniform would accompany the report. Why the switch?

The Worldwide Leader actually did use a photo of Kaepernick in a 49ers uniform at first, but the following airing of SportsCenter switched to the photo of Kap in street clothes. The airing after that reverted to the first picture. Here's SportsCenter at 12:40 a.m. (all times are Eastern):

At 1:11 a.m., with the street clothes photo:

At 2:12 a.m., with the standard photo:

    1. wow seriously? smh how can a niner fan even talk about a niner player like that? alex smith is gone so GET OVER IT! Wearing "urban" clothes doesn't make you a thug. I'm a police officer and I dress just like Kap when I'm off duty. Ever heard the old saying that the clothes don't make the man?

  4. As always, the media finds someone guilty without supporting evidence. Based on what evidence has come out, the players did the right thing in calling the cops. First, her own story does not point to anything illegal by the players. She did not specifically state that THEY smoked anything. Moreover, this pot thing needs to get addressed by the NFL. We have more and more states that are legalizing it. At some point, if you are going to suspend for pot, you will need to suspend for alcohol. Not there yet, but close. I don't use, or like pot, but genie is clearly out of the bottle. Kaep has been clean his whole career and was attacked early on for how he dressed (like every kid in America) and his tattoos (which cite scripture). Do you know how many white players have tattoos? Too many to count, in every league. Let's see if he is guilty of anything, before dropping the hammer. Getting tired of all these jealous fans who have no QB, bashing ours and our continued success. Once the season starts the pretenders will quickly disappear...again.

  5. first commet on this board is complete bullshit.. If you were a true 49ers fan you would know the good intensions behinds Kap's attire... How about getting younger kids involved in fashion? That outfit he is wearing was put together by a 12 year old boy that Kap was promoting for.
