49ers sign LB Aaron Lynch, DT Kaleb Ramsey

The 49ers are getting off to a quick start when it comes to getting their draft picks under contract.

The Niners have signed linebacker Aaron Lynch and defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey, the club said Tuesday night. Both players received four-year deals.

A fifth-round pick from USF, the 6-foot-6, 244-pound Lynch notched six sacks for the Bulls in 2013. He projects to outside linebacker in the 49ers’ 3-4 scheme.

“He’s a young man that has a lot of talent and a lot of traits to work with,” 49ers G.M. Trent Baalke said after the draft of Lynch, according to the club.

The 49ers took the 6-foot-3, 285-pound Ramsey in Round Seven. Ramsey notched 90 tackles (15 for loss) and six sacks in 41 collegiate games. He missed most of the 2011 and 2012 seasons with foot and calf injuries, respectively.

“Good football player. A very versatile football player,” Baalke said of Ramsey. “Has played all along the front at Boston College. A guy that can play three-technique, can play four-technique, has played some five-technique, gives you some inside pass rush.”

Lynch and Ramsey are the first draft picks with whom the 49ers have announced deals.

San Francisco and Chicago are the only clubs to have announced draft pick agreements.
